Coral Sunset Peony- Fully Double Coral/Pink Blooms- 3/5 EYE BARE ROOT SIZE

$27.95

Coral Sunset is a 1965 Wissing-Klehm hybrid with large, semi-double, ruffled flowers that open smoldering coral with rose-pink highlights and mature to pale apricot with golden-yellow stamen centers. This flower is lightly fragrant and fades from coral to ivory as the flower matures. Grows best in the South in 6+ hours of sun plus dappled light in the afternoon.

Coral Sunset Peony

Height: 32" tall

Bloom size: 5"

Originally bred: 1965 Wissing-Klehm

Perennial, adventitious root. This is a midseason blooming peony.

Notes for the South: the coral colored peonies (to include Coral Sunrise/Sunset, Pink Hawaiian, Soft Salmon Saucer etc) seem to have a higher susceptibility to fungal disease than other varieties. When growing in humid environments (like Texoma area) it is recommended to spray with a preventive fungicide every two weeks prior to emergence through July. We currently recommend Draconil but are exploring organic options.

These are 3/5 eye roots that ship in October. All roots sold are inspected for eye count and quality.

Ships early November We do not ship to CA, WA, ID
