Off the Shoulder TB- Purple Blue Beauty
Off the Shoulder gives you something better than the standard purple: a chic, fashion-forward amoena where clean white standards hover over falls splashed in rich purple with undertones of red. Now in many states the standards may appear straight white, but blooming out in Texas they have some hint of lavender in there- which is extremely delicate and beautiful. Off the Shoulder is fragrant, tall, and blooms reliably here in the South.
Type: Tall Bearded (TB)
Height: 35" (89 cm)
Bloom Season: Late Season
Color: Standards are clean white; falls are a dramatic red-violet to purple wash with a bold admixture of red adding warmth and intensity; white re-appears in a bright zonal spot at the fall center and along the petal periphery, unifying the whole bloom and echoing the standards; the effect is a striking amoena with a distinctly jewel-toned character
Form: Falls hold at a distinctive 45-degree angle; ruffled; stately branching
Fragrance: Fragrant (inviting)
Rebloom: Not reported
Bud Count: Not specified
Hybridizer: Schreiner's Gardens, R. 2019
Year Introduced: 2019 (Schreiner's 2019)
Awards: None confirmed in sources reviewed (2019 introduction still within award cycle window)
Notes: Seedling B 834 A. Late season bloom extends the garden display well into the end of spring. Amoena pattern with red-violet emphasis.
