Sarah Bernhardt Peony

$22.00

An all-time favorite, Sarah Bernhardt, this heirloom pink peony was introduced in 1906 and sports large soft pink blooms that can span up to 8" across. It is very fragrant with deep rose pink petals that are ruffled. This variety does well in zones 2a- 8a and is a late season bloomer.

Mature size: 36" tall and wide

Soil: requires well draining soil

Blooms: soft pink, ruffled, doubles

Bloom time: Spring

About these roots: these are 3/5 eye roots that ship in Fall. We encourage you to plant these roots in the Fall when your ground is workable and barely cover the eyes (an inch of soil above the eye is good). If the ship date is after your ground freezes, they can be planted in large pots for the first year and planted next fall after foliage has died back. The bigger the pot, the better.

What you'll get?
